I work at a major financial institution during the day (aka “the day job”) but my passion is writing, which I have been doing for over a dozen years. I’ve been a traditionally-published novelist for three years. I have also been editing for over eight years. I've taken numerous writing classes at the University of Iowa and participated in writing retreats such as the Red House Writers.

I'm a founding member and the secretary of BookPod, an invitation-only, online support group of people who specialize in film, TV, books, magazines, and journals. I write the monthly BookPod newsletter where I celebrate the success of our members, which include award-winning writers, film makers, journalists, and bestselling authors. One of my short stories, “Elizabeth”, won Honorable Mention in Writer’s Digest 2015 Popular Fiction Awards contest. Three of the short stories I edited have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Another story I edited was adapted into an award-winning film. The Price of Safety has been named as a Finalist in three categories.

I currently live in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, having moved there from Denver. I've also lived in Chicago, Dallas, St. Louis, Cincinnati, New York City, and one summer in Russia as part of a student-exchange program.

My novel, The Price of Safety, was released on April 6, 2020 from World Castle Publishing. It is the first of The Price Of trilogy. The sequel, The Price of Rebellion, was released on May 16, 2023.
